GIODE

The myth:

Zeus so desired the beautiful and brilliant mortal Sophia that, one morning, disguised as a blanket of mist, he slowly descended Mount Olympus and swept into her bedchamber.   As the mists embraced and enveloped the beautiful Sophia she inhaled Zeus and Giode was conceived.  Born of mortal wisdom and divine desire, Giode possessed the gift to see through any mist, fog or darkness that was impenetrable to mankind. He could always navigate a clear path no matter how shrouded or obscured it was from the vision of others. To Giode, the most impenetrable was transparent.

Despite this godly gift, Giode only used his powers to guide, to inform and to help others. This selflessness, lead many people to glory but not Giode himself. With no personal legacy of acheivement Giode was fated never to be remembered - although he did inspire Socrates (and those sages who followed) by his example to discern truth, logic and reason from prevailing confusion or ignorance and to share wisdom selflessly with others and, to this day, his name remains the derivation of the verb "To Guide".

GIODE

The reality:

Giode is just a company of mortals. Yet each one has a talent for seeing through great complexity with greater clarity than most. The team at Giode posess the practical experience (and academic pedigree) to define, quantify and rationalise problems, to streamline systems and to optimise performance. Perhaps their greatest skills, however, are their abilities to communicate the vision: to develop ideas and skills; to provide guidance and to help others to find their way forward without seeking glory for themselves.

Giode undertake seminars, one-to-one tuition, long and short term consultancy and technical support in Supply Chain Management and, in particular, Inventory Optimisation.

Whether you are a professor, professional or pro-tem you and your organisation could benefit from the Giode ability to find a way where others can not.
